Academic Info:
Language Arts - In spelling students are focusing on long o words and high frequency words. We are writing narrative stories and are using adjectives to make our writing come to life.
Math - In math we are reviewing counting money and making change. We are now also learning how to use basic math facts to add two digit numbers.
Social Studies/Science - We are learning about the life of Pilgrims and Native Americans and are comparing their lives to our own.
Remember to continue reviewing the Core and Priority Words for Second Grade with your child. Parents let me know if you need another copy of these words.
Wishing Well:
Our classroom is in need of: Baby Wipes, paper plates, extra snacks (needed for students who do not have snack) and old toys (for our treasure box), old magazines
Parents if you are able to donate any of the above items please send them to school with your child. Your support is greatly appreciated!
Spotlighting!!!
A big thanks to Mrs. Teresa for volunteering on our first field trip to Cagle's Dairy Farm. You were a great help and the student's enjoyed having you there.
Thank you to the families of Yamiley, Michael, Jesus and Jose for donating requested items from our Wishing Well to the class! It's very much appreciated.
Congrats to Desiree, Jose and Ngangum for being Breakfast of Champions for the months of August, September and October. Keep up the good character!
