The Learning Detectives - December to Remember

Dec. 13th and 14th – Benchmark Testing

Dec. 15th- 4th Grade Holiday Party 10:00 to 11:30

Dec. 16th- Fire Safety Field Trip

Dec. 17th- Last Day of 2nd nine weeks, Gingerbread house building 8:00a.m. - 9:00 a.m.,  A.R. party at lunch time

Holiday party- Our class needs to donate “Little Debbie” snack items for the party. We are providing enough for the whole grade level. The party is from 10:00 to 11:30. The students will have food and watch the movie Toy Story 3. Please sign the permission form if you would like your student to see the movie.

Geometry Unit- We are building Gingerbread houses on Friday. Please send in any donations from the list sent home by Thursday. Thank you for your help! Homework- Spelling and Reading log only for this week! Thank you so much for the copy paper, Crayola markers and dry erase markers! I am so lucky to have you as parents! A.R. Goal Students will have a goal of 20 points for the nine weeks. The last day for A.R. will be Dec. 16th. The celebration will be on Friday, Dec. 17th.

Holiday party- Last Thursday you should have received a red note about the 4th grade holiday party. Our class needs to donate “Little Debbie” snack items for the party. We are providing enough for the whole grade level. The party is from 10:00 to 11:30. The students will have food and then we will make crafts in the classroom. If you have ideas or are willing to help, please contact Kathy Layberger (katberger429@yahoo.com) or send me a note and I will forward it to Kathy.

 

Please make sure your student is fluent in their addition, subtraction, multiplication and division facts. Fluent means can answer quickly. These facts are vital to almost all math from now own. There is a great website called multiplication.com and many more.
