October 27-31 is RED RIBBON WEEK

This week is Red Ribbon Week.  Elect to be "Drug Free".  We will talk about drug awareness and the importance of being drug free. 

We have also been talking about Fire Safety.  Students have learned about the importance of smoke detectors, what to do if there is a fire, stop drop and roll and other fire safety precautions. 

Thursday, Mrs. O'Keefe will be selling Chik-Fil-A biscuits for $2.50 as a fund raiser for veterans.

Please don't forget there will be a special breakfast on Nov. 7 to honor veteran's here at Dowell.  Please look for notices to come home.  Also, if you would like to honor a family member or loved one on our wall here at school, please send in a request for a scroll.  You can attach the information about your family member, such as the branch of service, time served,etc.. you can also attach a picture if you like.

Hammond's Heroes

Welcome !

My name is Mrs. Keva Hammond and I will be working with your student at Dowell this year.  I am exicited about working with all of you.    I have been teaching in Cobb County for 15 years now.  My experience includes 3rd grade,  1st grade, Kindergarten and Reading Recovery.  I am very excited about serving at Dowell this year.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call or email me  at any time.
