Welcome Josh, Mia, Alex, Ke'Asia, Polina, Mackenzie, Shelby, Benita, Kaleb, Joseph, Lily. Khadijah, Leslie, Piper, Kathrin, Chris, Orrin, and Adeola!!!!!
It has been an AMAZING week! I have enjoyed getting to know your child over the last few days. I have witnessed new friends being made, the most humorous conversations, and witty responses to many of my questions. I hope your child has come home with interesting stories of their own.
Today we spent some time determining if we are right brained or left brained. We played some games “activate” our brain dominance. Next week, I will discuss what it means to be right or left brained, and I will have the results of our activities posted in the room. This is terminology that we will be using all year, so don’t be surprised if you child comes home talking about which side of his or her brain “works” best!
Next week, I also hope to assess your child’s Multiple Intelligences. This will help me determine if your child’s strength lies within verbal, quantitative, spatial, musical, kinesthetic, interpersonal, or intrapersonal domains. If you are interested, you can find more information on this topic at http://enhancinged.wgbh.org/research/multi/examples.html
