Optional Homework due Friday, September 16th

We have been learning about Benjamin Franklin this week. We have learned that he was an inventor, scientist, author, and leader (Founding Father). We have discussed some of his inventions and discoveries such as the lightning rod, electricity, and bifocals. I would like your child to explore Ben’s life a bit deeper and CREATE something to present to the class Friday the 16th. The “homework” can be a poem, art project, poster, or your child can dress up like Ben and deliver some facts about his life. Your child may also show how he or she is like Ben (curious, creative, like to try new things, etc). Your child may also research some of Ben’s famous quotes and present what those quotes mean. The kids have really enjoyed this new content. I thought this would be a fun way to complete our study on Ben Franklin. Please email me in advance if your child is going to participate in this activity. I will just need to know how much time to set aside on Friday. Thanks and as always….HAVE FUN LEARNING!
