We had fun studying and reviewing our sight words with a "Sight Word Snowball Fight!" Each child chose a different sight word and wrote it on a piece of paper. We crumpled the paper into a snowball and on command threw our snowballs. Then each child had to pick up and read the sight word on the snowball closest to them before they could launch another. Those sight words had never been read so well! Of course, Mrs. Bailey and Mrs. Reece had to join in the fun - and me, the camerawoman, just check out the first picture!
We will be celebrating our 100th day of school next Wed., Jan. 23rd. We are asking each child to bring in 100 edible items for a class "trail mix." Fortunately, we have no food allergies this year. A note will come home with specifics in your child's folder this Wednesday. Be watching for it... we're going to have FUN!!!
The school has asked us to notify parents about the large amount of items in Lost and Found. If your child is missing anything please check the Lost and Found in the hallway between the office and gym (near the bus port). Any items left over will be donated to charity.
