A Tasty Test on Symmetry

We integrated Science, Art, and Math with this activity.  We created butterflies from pretzels with icing and mini M &M's.  Symmetry had already been introduced, so to asses the children's knowledge, we allowed them to create edible butterflies.  Before they could eat them, they had to show us symmetry in the wings.  We are glad to say, all children passed the test and got to eat their yummy creation.
