New lunchroom rules to begin Monday, January 29, 2007.

After noticing students not finishing their meal in their thirty minute lunch period, Dowell has decided to implement a five minute quiet time when the students enter the cafeteria.  All students will be expected to be quiet during the first five minutes of their lunch period.  During this time, it is our hope that students will begin eating their lunch and not lose track of time because of socializing with their friends.  After the five minute quiet time, the students will be allowed to talk quietly for the remainder of the lunch period.  Please communicate this new procedure to your child.
