Week Of October 16, 2007

Upcoming Week at a Glance 10/22/07: Happy October!

Problem of the week (10/22/07):

Vivian, Roddy, and Mrs. Baltes recently conducted a survey about the favorite types of excercises among 5th graders. They now want to compare the collected data using a graph. What type of graph should they use? (hint: pictograph, line graph, or bar graph).

Last week's answer :Possible answers:  13 is a prime number.  A prime numbers is defined as numbers only divisible by itself and 1.

This weeks features:

Math-We are learning about scales and intervals and how to choose reasonable scales for data analysis. We will learn about ordered pairs to graph. We will be identifying points on a coordinate system. We also will be making single and double line graphs to show how data changed over time.
