Santa Breakfast is Saturday December 8th from 9-12!!

Problem of the week (11/26/07): 

You are a 5th grade student council representative. Your school has decided to remove all computers in your school. The administrators argue that computers are just a distraction for both teachers and students. They have agreed, however to debate the issue with the student council representatives. Write a speech to present to both the administrators and students about this issue. Use R.A.F.T.S. to help you prepare (must be at least 1 page but no more than 2 pages).

Math:

Over the next few weeks we will be working on dividing with two digit divisors, estimating quotients, modeling multiplication and division of decimals, and divison of whole numbers and decimals. What fun!!! We will also be anaylzing the relationship between fractions and decimals!

Science: (Wrapping up by 11/29/07)

Upcoming: (Life Science) Cells/ Beneficial and harmful Microorganisms! We are going to discuss parts of plant and animal cells and their differences. We also will be talking about heredity and genetics, inherited traits and learned behaviors.
