Dowell Singers on TV Friday

Dowell Singers Update:

On Friday 11/21 at 11am, the Dowell Singers will be featured on the show “Live Your Legacy” with Aurea McGarry! The Toys for Tots Kick off is the Feature Story. The program can be found on channel 14 (direct TV) or channel 12 (cable) - .Look for the ION network….

The students did an awesome job at the Publix Holiday Fest last night. We are looking forward to a fun evening on Dec. 5th, with the Taste of Lovinggood Middle School as well as the Santa Supper at Dowell. Please plan report to report to the Lovinggood Band room at 5:45pm. After our performance, plan to transport your student back to Dowell for the PTA Supper with Santa!

I am so thankful for each of my students! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday!

Publix Holiday Fest

All Dowell Singers must report to our partner in Ed Publix at the corner of Barrett Parkway and Dallas Highway on Tuesday, Nov. 18th at 6:30pm. Please remember to wear your full uniform.

All former Dowell Singers will be invited to join us for Cancion De Noel.... The Chorus will sing at 7:00pm!

No Publix Tonight!

Attention Dowell Singers and Families....

No Publix tonight. The Holiday Fest is next Tuesday, Nov. 18th. The permission slips will come home this Wednesday for that event.

Toys for Tots is a Success!

The Toys for Tots Kick Off was Fantastic!  I was so proud of our students!  Their behavior was wonderful, and they sounded like angels.  Thanks to all the parents who helped make our day a success!  Please watch Fox News at 5 and 6pm tonight for the full story.  I was told that there was a live web cam on at noon, and there is a story listed on their web site at Fox 5 news .   Several other papers and television stations were in attendance. 

I am very proud of our students -  the US Marine Corp comments were very positive!  "Your students are so well behaved" , and that we "raised the bar for the future of the TOYS for TOTS Kick OFF"!  Go Dowell Singers!

Dowell Singers: Don't forget

The Field Trip is tomorrow! Please wear your chorus uniform and bring your best singing voice! You will be called to the cafeteria at 10:00 am. The Toys for Tots Kick Off will be televised live during the Fox 5 News Show at 12:00 pm. I am told they will cut to it during moments of the news cast, so stay tuned to try and catch a glimpse of our singers! Chaperones who have notified Mrs. Swint that you are attending, please report to the cafeteria at 9:45 am. Thanks!

Dowell Singers Red Alert

Please note the new calendar posted for your review. On Wednesday, Chorus Students will get their new shirts. Make sure everyone has plain black pants, black shoes, and black socks for our performance on Friday morning 11/7 at the Veteran's Day Breakfast. Students should report to their classrooms, and Mrs. Swint will call for you to come to the music room.

Students need to bring any toys they plan to donate to the Toys for Tots Drive in to the music room before Friday!

On Monday, report in clean uniforms to school. We will leave approximately at 10:15 am. Students need to pre-pay $5 for their lunch at the Varsity after the performance. Remember, everyone is to be on their best behavior for this event!
