Dowell Singers - Happy Holidays!

The students did a fantastic job yesterday representing Dowell Elementary at Christmas on Peachtree.I heard compliments everywhere we went.  The DJ said we were the best group they've had perform.  The Christmas on Peachtree Staff complimented our students on their behavior, and their politeness.  The manager and staff at Hard Rock who said,"please come back! It was a pleasure to have such a great group of kids!"  I'm so impressed with them!  I'm also so grateful to all of you who do so much, so that my job is just a pleasure.  There is no chorus rehearsal Wednesday.  Happy Holidays! Looking forward to a 2012!

Parents, Attached is information for Monday's trip to Christmas on Peachtree. Again, you are welcome to meet us down there if your schedule allows. We perform at 12:10pm. Students will get a hard copy tomorrow.

Club pictures were taken today. Due to some issues, we are going to re-take our photo right before we leave on Monday. We had some folks without socks, proper shoes, etc. Please make sure students are in full uniform, including socks/shoes for Monday. Students who are not in full uniform will not be able to attend.

Students did very well today! I believe there might have been five pieces of pizza left at Stevie B's when we departed in our usual festive way... thanks to everyone who helped chaperone! Lollipop sales are Friday morning.... Thanks!

Reminder - Field Trip Tomorrow for Dowell Singers/Recorder Ensemble

Chorus, please wear your uniform and bring your $5.00 for lunch.  Plan to check in at the music room wall at 10:00am and meet in the cafeteria.  Remember pictures are when we return.... 

Recorder Ensemble:  please wear white, red or green.  Bring your $5.00 for lunch.  Please don't forget your recorder or your music.  Please meet in the cafeteria at 10:00am.  You will also have a picture taken when we return.  

PS Sorry this is later than the 7:30pm plan... had to help with a middle school project.  Watch out for those :) 

practice schedule week Dec. 12-16th

There will be only Regular Chorus practice this week:  Wednesday 2:30-3:30 pm.  No additional practices are scheduled for Reindeer Cast!  Field Trip Thursday 10:00am uniform/ bring $5.00 for lunch.

6:45 Performance 

 

 All performers report by 6:25pm to the warm up locations: 

Elves:  white t-shirt, black pants, black shoes, or sneaks

Deer:  white t-shirt, brown pants, brown or black shoes

Recorder club:  white shirt/jeans Chorus Members not in RW cast, wear chorus uniform 

K and 3 – red or green shirts, jeans

 

Initial Set up locations: 

• Kindergarten – KIndergarten Hall -Ms. Dicepola’s room
• Third Grade – media center
• Recorder club – science lab
• Chorus – Music Room
